'' XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL''
Designing from small to big, the project starts with creatures of XS size adding to the extensive details of furniture. A small piece of chair may then turn into a capacious cradle of movement capture or a platform for chaotic things to crumble. The focus is to develop a certain logic of composing the massing of one furniture, and then apply it to bigger scale. The same methodology of the chair then compose the classroom and to develop further into the whole site.

From specific angles, the shadow of the furniture or single classroom can still be detected in the school massing. Taking consideration of school programs, I created two primary chunks to hold classrooms and offices, the outer shell hovering over just add extra moment and bring in light and various shadows. To intensify the project, various textures are used. Extensive colors rides along with those complex forms to stimulate children’s imagination.
Even though created based on one single object. I aims to generate perspectives for three different world. For example, for XS scale, children are guided to perceive surroundings with extra tension and intensify observations as if they are living among the worlds of dwarfs where everything is so delicate. While for the M scale, children are able to feel the space more comfortably in normal senses, while the color and moments in this level reaches the maximum, connecting the two extreme world together.

Finally, the XXL world. Dwelling inside those magnified moments and space, children may obtain a
illusion of being lost in the world of giants, having a brand new space perception compared to the other two. The outer shell of the building shows a touch of fabric and shabby while still maintaining basic forms of the original objects, The whole form resembles one abandoned toy dropping by a giant from the sky.

I always believe in the power of childishness in children as well as their imagination, so strong that
sometimes can build a world out of the most mundane things. In my project, I hope these three worlds
together provide the ultimate playground for children to dream and grow in the land of fantasy.
