''ANY ONE CAN WEAR THE MASK''
What is the true form of certain things or certain people? Is it the hidden one behind the mask, or the mask is already the true form of how things should be or what kind of people
they are meant to be?
The concept of Deus Revelatus, as well as Deus Absconditus, comes from Martin Luther’s demonstration of the hidden god in his book On the Bondage of the Will. The hidden
god can be known only by true revelations, which mean
s it is non-knowledge and beyond all awareness. Luther referred to the agnosticism of God as Deus Absconditus. While the
non-knowledge of the hidden god gives god extensive knowledge, the ignorance of one gives it infinite possibilities. However, the awareness of non-knowledge proves that people still obtain specific knowledge of god, which can be worshipped as Deus Revelatus.
The real essence is revealed along with the evaporation of concepts, including place and nature, confronting the resemblances among lifeforms. While absolute language revealed itself in no time or space by no mouth, Campagna defines the paradox as ‘the hidden I’ (Ego Absconditus). In contrast to Deus Revelatus, Ego Absconditus is not perceivable in written words, concrete forms, or other direct revelations. It is the domain or void between the existence and essence within the self’s terrain.
